Welcome to A Frame of Mind, a lovingly renovated 1,900-square-foot A-frame cabin tucked into the woods of Connestee Falls — “middle mountain,” between Lake Atagahi and the ridge views above. We named it A Frame of Mind because every trip into these mountains helps us breathe a little deeper and re-center on what matters: family, friends and making memories. We hope you’ll feel the same.
The cabin sleeps up to 10 across three fully enclosed bedrooms and a kids’ loft, with two completely renovated bathrooms and two full kitchens for family meals and game nights. You’re a 5-minute walk from Lake Tiaroga, two minutes from the Connestee Falls Clubhouse, and a stone’s throw from the Oakanoah Trail — with a private nature trail on the property connecting you directly to the community pool, pickleball and bocce courts.
Beyond the gates, you’re minutes from DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the charming mountain town of Brevard — the heart of North Carolina’s “Land of Waterfalls.”

Hi! We’re Greg, Katherine and Pascal (our son). We live in Columbia, SC and split time between SC and NC.
We first found Connestee Falls in 2020 when we were needing an escape from “city life” (and COVID!) in Columbia, SC. We ended our first hike there with a light blanket of snowfall and we fell in love instantly: with Connestee, with the region’s trails, lakes, waterfalls and people.
We bought and lovingly fixed up 80 Wesa Court in 2021 and haven’t looked back. We named the cabin A Frame of Mind because every time we head into the mountains, we breathe more deeply, we’re able to find peace and we’re able to re-center our frame of mind to what matters: family, friends and making memories. We hope that you’ll have a similar experience with your stay.
